Congratulations to Carla on her new post as a Sky Sports Living for Sport Athlete Mentor.

 

Sky Academy Ambassador Katie Taylor recently announced the new mentors joining the Sky Sports Living for Sport team which included sports stars from the world of GAA, athletics, rugby and soccer.

 

Carla along with her fellow Sky Sports Living for Sport Athlete mentors will be visiting secondary schools throughout Ireland to use sports to inspire young people to develop confidence and valuable life-skills.

 

The 16 new members of the Sky Sports Living for Sport team will join 16 existing Athlete Mentors which includes Kerry footballer Darran O’Sullivan, sprinter Brian Gregan, modern pentathlete Natalya Coyle and Irish rugby star Alison Miller.

 

Sky Sports Living for Sport is part of Sky Academy, a ground-breaking set of initiatives that use the power of television, sport and creativity to help up to one million young people by 2020 to build skills and experience across the UK and Ireland.

 

Delivered in partnership with the Youth Sport Trust, Sky Sports Living for Sport is a free initiative open to all secondary schools across the UK and Ireland which uses sports stars and the skills learned through sport to build confidence and develop life skills in young people. Thousands of students from over 200 secondary schools across Ireland have already experienced the benefits of Sky Sports Living for Sport since it launched in 2013.
